Mumbai : WinZO, India’s largest social gaming platform that has been at the forefront of monetization solution in the gaming industry, has launched the gaming industry’s first nationwide scholarship program – Battle of Super Scholars (BOSS) with the aim of providing a platform for the best minds to disrupt the valued global gaming industry. trillion dollars. WinZO has offered the scholarship program to ensure that the best business minds come together to solve immediate business problems as well as new strategic initiatives being undertaken by the company. Over the years, India’s startup ecosystem has attracted top talent across sectors like e-commerce, high technology, education technology, food technology, and others. Recognizing the need to add to the gaming industry’s existing pool of talent, through this scholarship program, WinZO aims to give existing individuals an opportunity to solve the technology-intensive, product-led, and customer-focused challenges of the global gaming system.

The scholarship program has seen participation from top B schools such as IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Calcutta, Xavier School of Management (XLRI) and Management Development Institute (MDI) for students to come up with data solutions to real-life problems which are fundamental in the gaming industry. The first season of BOSS saw over 300 applications from these top B schools, including 24 students who were shortlisted. Scholarships worth 15 lakhs were distributed to the winners and more than 11 PPOs were submitted. Yash Mehta from IIM Calcutta won in the Business category and Vijay S from MDI won in the Human Resources category.
Students who participate in BOSS will be eligible for a chance to win annual scholarships and PPOs, on a case-by-case basis. Going forward, WinZO aims to offer scholarships worth up to 20 lakhs, which will expand significantly over the years as the company looks to cover more universities. With the aim of instilling a practitioner approach, the social gaming platform has decided to develop it as a flagship initiative which is one of its many initiatives that is an ongoing contribution to the gaming ecosystem. WinZO recently announced the launch of the “The Gaming Lab” initiative in collaboration with prominent investor Kalaari Capital, along with the $20 million Independent Game Developer Fund III.
