We thought it would be useful to explain how we rank the latest educational news content, how you can participate, understand how you can read the latest daily additional education news and how we organize our FE Content Week:

Main Features

Our exclusive key features are articles on thought leadership and blue sky thinking with experts writing peer-to-peer news articles on the future of education and the future of work. The focus is on solution-led thought leadership, sharing of best practices, innovation and emerging strategy. These are often articles about the future of education and the future of work, and often create educational news articles for the future. We limit our main features to a maximum of 20 per week, as they often relate to new concepts and new thought processes. Our key features are also exclusive articles that respond to the latest education news, and perhaps insight from an expert in a policy announcement or response to an education think tank report or white paper.

FE . sounds

FE Voices was originally created as a division of FE News to give voice to the sector. Since we now have over 3,000 newsrooms and contributors, FE Voices are usually thought of as articles about leadership, and they don’t necessarily have to be exclusive, but are usually a little shorter than key features. FE Voices can include more media mixed with additional education news articles, such as podcasts and embedded videos. Sector response articles requesting different comments and opinions for education policy announcements or responding to a white paper report are usually maintained in the FE Voices section. If we have a live podcast in the evening or a radio show like SkillsWorldLive, the next morning we put the FE podcast recording into the FE Voices section.

Sector News

In Industry News we have a mix of content from press releases, educational resources, reports, educational research and white papers from a range of contributors. We have plenty of positive educational news articles from colleges, granting organizations, and vocational training providers, and press releases from DfE to Think Tanks that provide an overview of the report, with helpful resources to help you introduce education strategies to learners and students.

We have a range of educational podcasts on FE news, from fully-produced hour-long FE podcasts like SkillsWorldLive in association with the Consortium of Donors, to weekly podcasts from experts and thought leaders, providing advice and direction to leaders. FE News also records podcasts at conferences and events, giving you one-on-one podcasts with education and skills experts on the latest strategies and developments.

We have over 150 educational podcasts on FE news, from EdTech posts with experts discussing Education 4.0 and how technology complements and transforms education, to podcasts with experts discussing educational research, the future of work, and how to develop skill systems for future jobs to interviews with the Minister for Training and Skills.

We record our exclusive FE news podcasts, working alongside industry partners like FAB to create weekly podcasts and daily education podcasts, working with industry leaders to create exclusive educational newsletters.

Video education interviews

FE News has over 700 FE video interviews and has been recording educational video interviews with experts for over 12 years. These are usually vox pop video interviews with experts in the fields of education and work, discussing blue sky thinking ideas and opinions about the future of education and work.

FE News has a free event calendar to check out the latest conferences, webinars and events to keep up with the latest educational news and strategies.

FE . newsrooms

The FE Newsroom is home to your content if you are a contributor to FE News. It also helps the audience to develop a relationship with you either as an individual or with your organization where they can click and “box” consume all of your past thought leadership articles, latest educational news press releases, educational videos and podcasts.

Would you like to contribute, share your thoughts or vision, or share a press release?

If you want to write an article on thought leadership, share your thoughts and vision for the future of education or the future of work, write a press release to share the latest education news or contribute to a podcast, first of all you need to set up your FE newsroom login (which is free): Once the team approves your newsroom (all content and newsrooms are approved by a member of the FE News team – no bots are used in the process!), you can then start adding content (again, all articles approved videos and podcasts by the FE News editorial team prior to being broadcast live on FE News). As all newsrooms and content are approved by the FE News team, there will be a slight delay in the team’s ability to review and approve content.
