- OnePlus Nord 2 CE specifications may have just leaked.
- Expect the Mediatek Dimensity 900 chipset and faster wired charging.
Launched earlier this year, OnePlus Nord CE is basically a shortened version of the awesome OnePlus Nord that was released last year. We thought the original Nord and devices like the Redmi Note 10 Pro were more attractive propositions for most people, but it looks like OnePlus might take another stab at the Nord CE series.
91 mobiles And tipster Yogesh Brar now details the apparent specifications of the OnePlus device code-named Ivan. The duo believe this is the OnePlus Nord 2 CE. So what should you expect then?
For starters, the device is claimed to be launching with a Dimensity 900 5G SoC. This chipset offers newer CPU cores that are heavy compared to the Snapdragon 750G’s SoC, as well as a shortened version of the Mali-G78 GPU found in the Exynos 2100 and Google Tensor chips. The new chipset also offers AV1 decoding and Bluetooth 5.2 as upgrades over the Qualcomm processor.
What else should you expect?
Other than that, the OnePlus Nord 2 CE is said to get a 6.4-inch, 90Hz OLED panel, 6GB to 12GB of RAM, 128GB or 256GB of storage, and a 4,500mAh battery with 65W charging. The latter figure would be a significant wattage upgrade over charging the original model’s 30W, although we did find the Nord CE still delivers a full charge in less than 50 minutes.
It appears that the camera specifications may not change from the original model, as the new phone tends to have a 64-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 2-megapixel macro camera. The 16MP sensor is claimed to handle video calls and selfies.
Last year’s model missed an alert slider, and 91 mobiles It states that the new device will not get this feature either. That’s a real shame for longtime OnePlus fans, but the alleged presence of a 3.5mm port might provide some solace.
As for the launch details, it is believed that the phone could launch in India by the end of January or mid-February. The tipster suggests a price between 24,000 rupees and 28,000 rupees (about $317 to $370).
