While this was a relatively light patch for Genshin Impact in terms of the total number of new characters, we finally have one here today alongside Hu Tao’s return. This will be her fellow Pyro user polearm Thom, the first character we meet when we get to Inazuma, and a character that many players should be able to get because he’s 4 stars, not 5 stars.
Thoma has a few different options for hand tools and antiques, depending on how you want to build it. It probably depends on your budget and what you’re after, but there are some obvious advantages you might want to give it.
Best Toma Polarmes
Homa Crew (5 stars) Health increased by 20%. In addition, it offers an attack bonus based on 0.8% of a worker’s maximum HP. When a welder’s HP is less than 50%, this attack bonus is increased by an additional 1% of maximum health.
sweeping lightning (5 stars) Attack increased by 28% energy recharge from base 100%. You can get a max 80% attack bonus. Get 30% energy recharge for 12 seconds after using an elemental burst.
The Catch (4 stars) – Increases elemental blast damage by 16% and elemental blast fatality rate by 6%.
Kitain Cross (4 stars) – Increases item skill damage by 6%. After the Elemental Skill hits an opponent, the character loses 3 energy but regenerates 3 energy every 2 seconds for the next 6s. This effect can occur once every 10 seconds. It can be played even when the character is not on the field.
Hu Tao or Baal poles could work great here, and I think since the Staff of Homa is back, that’s an option. But if you’ve earned The Catch from hunting, it’s a pretty solid choice for Thoma as well.
Toma’s best crafts
Severed Fate logo (Momiji-Dyed Court) – 2 pieces – energy recharge + 20%, 4 pieces – increases the damage of blasting items by 25% energy recharge. A maximum of 75% damage bonus can be obtained this way.
Hybrid split: Noblesse Oblige 2 pieces – DMG elemental explosion + 20%, Crimson witch of flame 2 pieces – Pyro DMG bonus + 15%
If you are looking for a complete set, the Emblem of Severed Fate set originally designed for Baal is probably your best bet. For a hybrid set of bits you may already have around, Crimson Witch and Noblesse are a good combination of what Thoma has to offer.
He’s not the hardest character to build, and he wouldn’t be the hardest in terms of his 4-star status. I wish you luck, or if you were to go to Hu Tao instead.
