PHOTOS: When Poole Schools practised for their festive spectacular

Each year, hundreds of young singers will take to stage for the annual Ball Schools Music Association Christmas Party.

Young people between the ages of 8 and 18 from more than a dozen local schools performed in crowded venues with a combined orchestra from multiple high schools.

The pupils sang a set of festive songs for the concert, which was organized and assisted by the Paul Schools of Music Association.

These photos were taken nearly 20 years ago during a rehearsal for the concert at Wessex Hall on December 6, 2001.

The annual concert ran for more than 20 years and was the main fundraiser for the association that promoted music in Poole Schools all year round.
