Open enrollment for Nevada health insurance exchange begins

Open enrollment began Monday for health insurance plans through the Nevada Health Insurance Exchange.
This year, customers can choose from seven carriers offering 126 eligible health and dental insurance plans — including 20 dental plans.
Drainage Director Heather Korbulek said plans are available in all Nevada counties and designed to fit everyone’s needs and budgets. The plans are designed for those workers who do not have employer-sponsored health insurance, including those who are self-employed and those working in temporary jobs.
In addition, she said, the US bailout is offering increased tax credits to help reduce monthly premiums.
