MBA Aspirants, CAT, XAT, MAT Qualifiers Can Get Scholarship upto Rs 50,000, Here’s How


The Jagan Institute of Management Studies (JIMS) has invited applications for its scholarship programme. The scholarship will be offered to candidates who seek admission into the Postgraduate Diploma in Management, PG Diploma in Retail Management, PG Diploma in International Business, and the Associate of Management program.

Aspirants who have passed a postgraduate degree with a minimum of 55 percent marks or are currently in the final year of an undergraduate course (any discipline) can apply for admission to the PGDM programs offered by JIMS, however, candidates seeking admission into the PGDM- IB programs need and PGDM-RM to 50 percent in their graduation.

JIMS Scholarship for CAT, XAT and MAT qualifications

Candidates seeking admission into JIMS through the Common Admission Test (CAT) need a minimum score of 80 percent to be eligible for the Rs 50,000 scholarship programme. In addition, scholarship aspirants also need to have a minimum score of 70 percent in grade 10 and 12 and graduate. It will be granted as a partial fee waiver in the second, third and fourth installments.


The CAT, which is an annual entrance test for admission to colleges offering PGDM and other management courses, will take place on November 28 this year. CAT score is the prerequisite for admission into management courses from Indian Institute of Management (IIMs), Indian Institute of Technology (IITs), Indian Institute of Science (IISc) and many other colleges.

The test features multiple-choice questions (MCQs) in verbal ability, reading comprehension, data interpretation, logical reasoning, and quantitative aptitude.

Apart from CAT, JIMS also grants admission on the basis of candidates’ scores in MAT, GMAT, ATMA or XAT. The final selection process also includes assessment based on previous academic performance, interview rounds, and group discussion scores.
