A young Nigerian woman known as Sandra Ozioma Marume has taken to social media to celebrate her victory after receiving a Mastercard Foundation scholarship to study for a master’s degree at the University of Edinburgh.

Graduation with a first degree

Sharing her win on LinkedIn, the young woman revealed that she graduated with a first class LLB degree from Afe Babalola University despite significant visual impairment associated with albinism.

In her words:

Recently, I was awarded the prestigious Mastercard Foundation Scholarship to study for my Masters degree at the University of Edinburgh.

“I am excited to join a strong network of changemakers around the world as an MCF researcher.”

Sandra expressed her gratitude to God, her parents, and everyone involved in her journey. She also thanked her mentors and The Mastercard Foundation for selecting her from over 4,000 applicants.

You can achieve whatever you imagine

The young woman said that she has learned in the past 25 years that whatever the mind can imagine can be achieved.

In her words:

“In the past two and a half decades, I have learned that whatever the mind can imagine, it can achieve regardless of the challenges. Set these goals, you will be amazed at how quickly you will achieve them.”

Young Lady Bags Scholarship

In similar news, a young Nigerian woman known as Favor Emma Nwachukwu celebrated her achievement on social media after receiving a scholarship to study at Cambridge University.

The young lady, who shared adorable pictures of herself on LinkedIn, said she would be studying for a master’s degree in development studies.

According to Favor, she was awarded a scholarship by the African Students Scholarship from the Center for Development Studies.
