COVID-19 Second Wave: OAU Stay-at-Home Directive to CONTISS 11 Officers and Below

Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) has directed all staff on CONTISS 11 and below to stay-at-home due to Covid-19 second wave.

Consequent upon the confirmation of the second wave of COVID-19 infections in Nigeria and the advice of the Presidential Task Force (PTF) on COVID-19, the Federal Government has directed that officers on Grade Level 12 and below should stay at home.

In compliance with this directive, the Vice-Chancellor has therefore directed that officers on CONTISS 11 and below, in the University, should at home effective, Thursday, 24th December, 2020 and await further directive. This is in order to streamline the number of officers that come to work daily.

The Vice-Chancellor also directed that officers on CONTISS 12 and above should adhere strictly to all preventive measures including the maintenance of physical distancing, regular washing and/or sanitizing of hands, wearing of face masks and reducing the number of visitors.

However, staff who are on essential services, as well as Secretaries to Principal Officers of the University, Provosts and Deans are expected to be at their respective duty posts
