FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Black graduates of a private high school in Fort Wayne are creating a scholarship fund to help other black students afford it.
Members of BLAST, which represents the Black Lutheran Alumni Scholarship Team, are launching a scholarship fund for Concordia Lutheran High School. President Michael Edmonds told our news partners at ABC 21 that they will also provide guidance and other services.
“We know what our parents did for us and the sacrifices they made for us and just getting the chance for a broader education, it’s a joy to be able to make it happen with our kids and now with our kids I don’t even know.”
